[audio] Richard Devine live in Los Angeles, 25 February 2005
Richard Devine live at iComplex offices, 25 February 2005.
Back in the 90s in LA, there were a few dj/artist collectives that would organize the underground-y electronic music shows- Darkmatter Soundsystem (the only one that now, in 2020, still organizes shows) handled most of all the breakcore shows, Mashup Soundsystem also did breakcore shows, ELM did idm shows, usually on the harder/darker side, but sometimes not, and would regularly bring some combination of Otto v Schirach / Phoenecia / Richard Devine to town (Pet Shop show in Silver Lake is legendary!), and also Infinite Complexity aka iComplex did probably the widest variety of musics, idm and industrial and techno and dubstep and drum and bass and other random stuff.
And this is not to mention LA's long-running industrial club Das Bunker, still going strong, but quite frankly is a whole lot less underground than those others I mentioned. Although Franck and company still will have some good live acts play their hallowed halls every now and then.
This Richard Devine show was actually not a proper concert; it was a private party for about 15 or 20 people. I don't remember why Richard was in town, or if he played some other show that weekend. Honestly, I don't even know how I was invited to this one, except that iComplex head honcho Whoman is a super nice guy who thought I should be there I guess.

[audio] Iceburn live in Salt Lake City, 16 July 2016
Iceburn live at Urban Lounge, Salt Lake City, 16 July 2016.
Well, this recording is a bit of a mess, but these guys are so good that I thought it was worth posting.
So what notable music artists has SLC sprouted? Besides the Osmonds? Jeez, I dunno. Can't think of any. Iceburn is literally the only name that comes to mind.
Iceburn was most active I think in the 90s and early 2000s. Then they took many years off, and if I remember correctly, this show in 2016 was a bit of a reunion show after that long hiatus.
But this recording is far from perfect. I don't remember the circumstances, but I missed the first 2 minutes 15 seconds on the board feed, and missed the first 5 or 10 seconds on the mics as well. I don't even know how this is possible when you consider that I only need to hit one record button to record both feeds. And then, when the board feed does kick in at 2:15, it has a terrible hiss on it, which you can't really hear except for between songs.
But, I shined it up pretty good.

[audio] Cdatakill live in Denver, 15 October 2007
CDatakill live on Frequencee Mind Controlle, Denver, 15 October 2007.
CDatakill live on the radio, which I fixed up to sound like a live concert.
This was from his relatively early days, when he leaned much more toward breakcore than his later recordings. Not sure of the names of any of the songs, but I do recognize some of them, so those will have been released on albums or compilations. But there are at least a couple that are unreleased outside of this recording.
