update May 2020

Ok, that pretty much does it. I've ransacked every hard drive that I had hiding in the closet, and have posted all the concert audio that's worth posting. I've posted more than 50 shows over the past few months that I've recorded over the past 10 or 15 years. All sorts of different styles, and some really amazing performances, so scroll through them and crank it up. And I now have almost 175 recordings posted altogether, so go check out some of the older ones, too. They're no less awesome than any others.

Although, when posting some of those shows to my blogs, I would post the original flyer for the show if I had one available, and sometimes I'd see all these other names on the flyer and say to myself, 'hey, didn't I record all those other people that night? Where the hell is that audio? I wonder if it's worth mixing/mastering and posting.' So maybe I'll sweep through those hard drives again and try to track down any of those recordings. Maybe I can dig up some more music to post.

I might make the effort. Because it's not like I'm recording too many new shows any more. I mean, Salt Lake City doesn't have anything of an electronic music scene in the first place. But now with this coronavirus pandemic grinding everything to a complete standstill, including the entire concert industry, who knows when bands will start touring again, big or small.

And even though I don't consider this any kind of 'Brian Humorless, signing off' type message, I would like to say the biggest thank you in the world to all of the artists over the years who allowed me to record their shows. Such amazing people and such amazing music. I have unending gratitude for every one of you. As well as all the club owners, the soundguys, the promoters, the record label guys, and anybody else who was cool enough to say 'ya man, go ahead, plug in and record and do your thing.'

All the audio is posted here-

mixcloud (which blocks some of the shows in the US)

All the video is here-

humorless YT (although I post all sorts of other random stuff there, like my ski videos and other ridiculous stuff)

The blogs where I post all the audios and videos-

ello (yes, I still use ello. I like ello, and many people discover the shows via ello, so I'll continue posting there)

And of course on the FB

This one gets off to a little bit of a rough start, with some glitchy clicky noises in the first several minutes. But once the music really gets started, they go away or are otherwise unnoticeable.
